Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 3-6 month contract to support day-to-day accounting operations and period-end close activities. This role requires a strong technical accounting background, hands-on experience with financial reporting, and the ability to quickly add value in a fast-paced environment. $45-$50/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Prepare variance analysis and management reports
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues
- Support process improvements and documentation as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of senior-level accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Experience supporting audits and financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a contract role
Technical Skills
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reconciliations, analysis, reporting)
